DCF'S Clarize Marie

Birthdate: 4/18/2010
Heritage:
Registration: ARI Registered
ARI #: 31823630
Color: Light Fawn

Type: Female Huacaya
Status: Open / Proven

Description: Clarize Marie has an elegant presence with an irresistible sweet personality. For fleece qualities, staple length, density and yield are her strengths.

Her prevailing influence on staple length is apparent in her cria. Even when bred to an average staple length, Clarize's length dominates and the result has been a higher clip weight from the cria over the sire. Her cria with Vincent Suave sported an unheard of 6.5" staple at 6 months old!

Liza is a representative of the 3rd generation of the "Chloe" line we continue to develop.

Affectionately known as "That Girl", Liza has a bright white fleece with long staple and deep crimp. She is a perfect match for the micron and uniformity of Vincent or Jack's fleece.

Every year we can't wait to see the next generation fleeces to see if they meet or exceed our expectations and goals. We expect Liza and Excel’s offspring (Clarize) to shear in the 8 lb. range in years 1-5.

Excel caught our eye at the 2007 AOBA Summer National show. When we felt the “butter soft” hand of his fleece we immediately realized this male was special - in fact we had never felt anything like it.

After evaluating histograms and seeing his Sire, Dam and several siblings at Timberland Alpacas in Oregon, the quality of his fleece and pedigree were confirmed. In 2008 he began his role as “Top Stud” in our breeding programs.

Excel’s quality is undeniable and his skin biopsy at 18 months verified what we saw and felt. A high number of densely packed follicles in his skin, combined with exceptional uniformity in both Primary and Secondary fibers - and between both fiber types - is why his fleece feels like butter.
