Description: What a lady Gilda has become! She's a typical A-Line Accoyo type in both body and fleece style with excellent frame size, heavy bone and a long, bright, low frequency staple.
Like her half siblings, her exciting fleece type is what has been described as the "silky" type with brilliant luster and long staples and has left the mill that processed her cria blanket in awe of its quality.
It was difficult to add this female to our sales list as she typifies her generation in our breeding program. We offer her with confidence that this female will prove to be an outstanding producer for the serious breeder.
She is now ready to be bred to Alta's Ultima of PVA. This combination of Hemingway & Accoyo genetics - so highly sought after for producing world class fleece characteristics - nearly guarantees a "Next Generation" fleece on a alpaca with flawless confirmation.
Gilda also comes with a breed back to the DCF herdsire of your choice next year. We would suggest Diamond Duke for color and to improve uniformity by adding his extremely low SD and CV to her outstanding staple length.

Alabaster is a full Accoyo son of Caligula, one of the most revered studs in the history of North American alpaca breeding.
Alabasters first crias are now on the ground and they are an impressive lot. It has become clear that his legacy will be his ability to impart increased staple length on his progeny. As hoped, the cria fleeces are long and bright, and at the 120 day mark were from 20 to 40% longer than their half siblings.
The unique fleece style he has stamped on his progeny has recently been recognized for its qualities - we have heard it referred to as “silky fleece”.
