Description: Evonnka is a quality female. In her first two shearings she produced 8+ lbs. of grade 1, high frequency, bright fleece.

Her EPD data shows important commercial traits - with serious improvements in fineness though lowering the micron size of primary fibers, and increased staple length.

Vonna is a top of the line daughter of Accoyo Victor and PPeruvian Navidad (who according to Alan Cousil, "was only the best ... female ever imported into this county").

Vonna is a member of our foundation herd and has had a very important roll to play in our lasting fleece quality in both fineness and character - critical traits that have only recently risen to their due importance for top US alpaca breeders.

We've had a few of what we thought were "home run" crias in our 14 years of breeding - Vonna's 2010 cria, Christina, is out of the park and across the street. Crias like this make you realize the true potential of these animals. We feel very fortunate to have her and her dam in our herd.

Excel caught our eye at the 2007 AOBA Summer National show. When we felt the “butter soft” hand of his fleece we immediately realized this male was special - in fact we had never felt anything like it.

Excel’s quality is undeniable and his skin biopsy at 18 months verified what we saw and felt. A high number of densely packed follicles in his skin, combined with exceptional uniformity in both Primary and Secondary fibers - and between both fiber types - is why his fleece feels like butter.
