DCF Arturo

Birthdate: 5/9/2008
Registration: ARI Registered
ARI #: 31190879
Color: Medium Brown

Type: Male Huacaya
Status: Non-Breeder

Description: Arty’s quite a character and genuinely fun to be around - he's also a high quality fiber animal.

He is gelded and does very well with other males. He has also done great work as a companion guard male in the girls pasture where he is allert and attentive to everything going on around him.

In 2009 Arty was awarded a Fleece Color Championship (Brown) at the Mid America Alpaca Show, a blue ribbon at the NIAE show and earlier brought home a Blue Ribbon from the AOBA World Alpaca Fleece Show!

At the World Alpaca Fleece Show he placed 1st in a large class of 9 MB Juvi males. Making the win even sweeter - 5 of the entries were from three large US farms infamous for their fleece.

Immediately striking are Arturo’s eye pleasing proportions and the maroon tone to his fleece. His fleece parts easily and evenly with no webbing and the volume in the hand is amazing, speaking to his excellent density. He has crimping from skin to tip with an even hand much like his dam – herself an AOBA National Handcrafter’s Spin-off blue ribbon winner in 2004.

In 2004 Mallory placed first at the AOBA Summer National Handcrafters Spin-off - in 2005 she placed 2nd - among some very heavy competition that included the most notorious genetics in the country. In 2003 she received a second place ribbon at the AOBA National Fleece show in the large light fawn juvenile class - again with competition from some of the biggest farms in the US.

Her crimp, luster and lock structure are the best on our farm - she really is the cream of the crop.

She is breed to DCF Diamond Duke for what we think will be another "home-run" cria for her.

Panasche is proving to be an impressive addition to the lineup. In keeping with our goal of ever increasing clip yield on soundly conformed alpacas, Panasche is taking our dark colored fleece to the next level.

Panasche's fleece character of deeply crimped and bundled locks is amazing. The quality of this fleece should not be under estimated - it is unusual to see a such a dark alpaca with his kind deep crimp character - it truely borders elite.

Before her retirement from judging, Maggie Krieger, one of the best international Judges in the world, gave Panasche the Color Championship in a field of 33 brown males and raved about his outstanding fleece character and incredible density!
