Why "lease" an alpaca?
Leasing a quality female for one breeding cycle offers the lowest cost of investment. For about one-third the price of an adult female, you will own her cria outright.

A lease contract for a female is for one breeding cycle at the listed lease price. You choose the female. There is no fee for stud service if the female is open - you select the service sire.

The leased female (and subsequent cria) are kept here free until the cria is weaned at about 8 months of age. Once the cria is successfully weaned you take your cria home (or continue boarding here through a separate boarding contract)

We guarantee a live birth and survival for 10 days after birth. In the rare event that the cria is not born or doesn't survive for 10 days, then you may either release that female, or another comparable female (when available), and have all payments made-to-date apply to the new lease.

There is no catch and there's no fine print. The only additional charges are for vet expenses and insurance (required) on your cria.
